    • Note that all processes discussed here are chosen to be reversible. In order to prepare the magnetic state of the cluster, one needs irreversible processes (taking into account the memory of the system). Such a mechanism is possible by increasing the Zeeman spliting and selectively favoring one of the two de-excitations, i.e., with a light frequency closer to one of the two resonances.
