    • The bulk modulus in nanocrystals might be different to that in the bulk material. In fact, for many materials the bulk modulus in nanocrystals is usually slightly larger than in the bulk. However, the main conclusions of this work do not depend on the value of the bulk modulus considered for the nanocrystals because a different bulk modulus would only imply a slightly different negative pressure in the nanocrystals.
