    • The Rf values and NMR spectra were identical. Most significant is the observation that the seven anomeric carbon signals (99.5, 99.3, 98.7, 98.6, 98.3, 98.2 97.6) are identical to those reported in ref 12. Since 13Cis very sensitive to structural changes in carbohydrates, this leaves no doubt about the structure.
