Synthesis for [Er4(μ3-OH) 4(μ2-O)0.5OL4(H 2O)3]·Br2.90-·Cl 1.10·2H2O (MOF-1, The mixture of ErCl3 · 6H2O (0.0511 g, 0.134 mmol, H2LBr (0.524 g, 0.198mmol, an aqueous solution of NaOH (1.0 mL, 0.30 mmol, H2O (1 mL, and EtOH (9 mL) was heated in a 23 mL capacity stainless-steel reactor with a Teflon liner at 150 °C for 3 days and then cooled to room temperature. Pale-pink prismy crystals of MOF-1 were obtained.
