A solution of Clavicorolide B (2) (5 mg) and 4- dimethylaminopyridine (1 mg) in 200 μL of anhydrous dichloromethane was stirred at 0 °C (in ice-water), and then the solution of p-bromobenzoyl chloride (9 mg) in 200 μL of anhydrous dichloromethane together with ca. 20 μL triethylamine were added dropwise. The mixture was stirred for 1 h at 0 °C (in ice-water) and quenched with cold brine.
