    • We observed the visible and infrared signal of 10 mm HPTS in H2O in the presence of 0, 1, and 2 M of chloride, bromide, and iodide salts. We saw negligible quenching for the bromide series of salts, minimal quenching for the chloride salts, and significant quenching for the iodide salts.
