This is a thorough algorithm for detection and treatment of primary aldosteronism. There are detailed procedural descriptions. They recommend broad screening of patients at increased risk for plasma aldosterone:renin ratio (ARR), followed up with one of four patients, undergo one of the four confirmatory tests subsequently to confirm the diagnosis, and to utilize all this before subtype testing (Abdominal CT scanning). There is also ample discussion on the use of adrenal vein sampling, which they recommend for all surgical candidates.
