    • 3 (2 mmol) dioxane (3 mL) were combined in a small Schlenk tube under argon and the mixture was heated at 80 °C for 5 h. At the end of the reaction, the mixture was cooled and volatiles were removed under vacuum. The product was extracted with diethyl ether, filtered through a pad of silicagel with copious washings, concentrated, and purified by flash chromatography on silicagel. The purity of the compounds was checked by NMR and yields are based on arylchloride.
