    • In Ref. the cell parameter values reported refer to the 3R -NbS2 phase, and partially to 2H and 3R MoS2. Since the difference in the a cell parameter between the 2H and the 3R phases is as low as 0.13 and 0.60% for MoS2 and NbS2 respectively, in Fig. 5 we compare the experimental values with our results derived only for the 2H phases.
