We have measured the XMCD spectra of USe with the magnetization parallel to the [111] and [001] axes. The intensity of the XMCD signal for the [111] magnetization was approximately √3 times larger than that for the [001] magnetization, while the line shape of the XMCD signal did not change and the intensity ratio N5/N4 were almost the same. The result indicates that the magnetic moment was fixed along the [111] easy axis, consistent with the previous magnetization measurement [G. Busch and O. Vogt: J. Less-Common Met. 62 (1978) 335
