For example, thermolysis of 5 at 200 °C leads to the liberation (MS identification) of 1-hexene (23.4%) as well as hydrogen (34.2%) and small (<10%) amounts of propane, propene, methane, ethane, bexane, and 1,3-butadiene, The main organic products of the thermolysis of the chromacyclopentane derivatives are 1-butene and ethylene.
