43. It would be noted that the primary aim of this article is not to introduce the recent data of CP phenomena of the world and Korea, but to justify the necessity and usefulness of integrated knowledge approach to sustainability policy.
44. The UNEP CP Program (Paris) compiled data related to 441 cases, most of which date from the mid-1980s to mid-1990s and have been reviewed for quality and completeness by UNEP. Also, the total number of 'Environmentally Friendly Companies' amounts to 146 firms in 2005.

47. Since 1995, the main framework of the EFEC Program in KMOE has not been changed for a long time. Recently, however, KMOE is trying to modify the basic framework by providing different certification guidelines for different target groups.
