The microwave vial was sealed with a plastic microwave cap and placed in a CEM discover microwave and irradiated (300 W) at 130 °C for 12 min. The reaction mixture was quenched with 1 M HCl (4 ml), and extracted with DCM (3 × 30 ml), the combined organics were dried over magnesium sulfate and evaporated to yield the crude product. The product was purified using column chromatography with 4:1 petrol/ethyl acetate as eluent.
