Anesth Analg 2007; 105:344-350. The perioperative cardiac arrest (POCA) registry offers the most comprehensive overview of the pediatric collective. The advantage of this multicenter voluntary registry, to provide descriptive associations of very rare events, has to be paid off by missing exact incidences and the inability to derive causal conclusions.
