21. The cleanliness of the glass proved to be critical for the experiment. After attempting aggressive cleaning with piranha solution, we settled in sonicating the glass for 15 min in methanol, followed by 15 min in isopropanol, 15 min in a solution of detergent and DI, 15 min in DI. They were then rinsed with DI and air dried.
