    • Similar results for clean Pb/Cu and Pb/Co interfaces have been reported by Taddei, Sanvito, and Lambert [J. Low Temp. Phys. 124, 305 (2001)] using a multiband tight-binding model. In our self-consistent calculations for Pb/Co, we find no evidence for an enhancement of the exchange splitting at the interface which these authors invoke to obtain agreement with experiment for Pb/Co.
