1d (4) Qualitative studies using a Rayonette photoreactor with maximum emission ∼300 nm indicated that the relative efficiency of the 2 → 3 conversion in benzene is higher than indicated in the present case. This would be expected given the common feature observed in metal carbonyl cluster chemistry that shorter wavelength irradiation leads to higher quantum yields of CO labilization
