22. As explained in Ref. [13], spin waves in the Rb gas that the JILA group studied arise from the inhomogeneous mean field, while spin waves in the Bose ferromagnet arise from the ferromagnetic coupling between atoms. So the two systems are different, though they display similar behaviors.
