    • 3 (5 equiv, 780 mg). The reaction was carried out with stirring at 65-70 °C for the specified times (Table 1). The progress of the reaction was monitored by TLC. On completion, the reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature and was then filtered and the filtrate was concentrated under vacuum. The residue was purified by column chromatography on silica gel using n-hexane-ethyl acetate (3:2) as eluent to afford the coupled product.
