A two stage phase I clinical trial of Evolence 30 collagen for soft tissue contour correction
-
in press. This new collagen filler presents new characteristics, which are different from other fillers presently used. The "glycation" process of polymerization and cross-linking with a ribose binding is a novel method of creating a safe, longer-lasting filler. This in vitro study collaborates present clinical findings of 12 to 24 month duration with little host reactivity. The experimental model presents a new method of quantitating implant viability and longevity in an animal model. GARY MONHEITBirmingham, AL
