    • Excitation of eosin at ∼500 nm, corresponding to the lower energy band in the absorption spectrum, is precluded by our instrumental setup for time-resolved anisotropy measurements. Therefore, we have excited at λ = 405 nm, where not only eosin but also dansyl absorbs light, so that data obtained with eosin encapsulated in G4B are easier to interpret than those obtained with eosin inside G4D.
