    • 2). Some precipitates (P1) observed at room temperature are collected by filtratration through filtrate paper MN267 and washed with acetone. A waxy adduct (P2) is precipitated from the filtrate by adding acetone (2:1 volume ratio). Both prepitates (P2:P1 = 9.3:1 by mass) are calcined at 500 °C for 5 h (heating rate: 1 °C/min) and form grayish crystalline MgO particles. The recovery yield is ca. 50% on the basis of MgO.
