UV spectra of mannosylated and fucosylated CDs show a band at 245 mn for the thiocarbamoyl linkage of the CDs. Spectra of the mixtures of lectin and CD did not show significant changes with respect to the free CD, showing that UV is less sensitive to interaction between CD and protein than fluorescence.
