    • The sign of the couplings depends on the wave function phase. In this work, as in previous ones, the wave function phase is chosen such that the k = 0 exciton defined in eq 2 is asymmetric relative to a two-fold screw rotation about the b-axis. Alternatively, two wave functions are in phase when the long-axis component of their corresponding transition dipole moments has the same sign.
