note
-
2h point symmetry a long axis is not uniquely defined. We define the long molecular axis as the axis about which one molecule in the 2D unit cell of Fig. 1 is rotated so that its molecular plane is aligned with the molecular plane of the second molecule in the unit cell.

note
-
The requirement ⋙|λ| eliminates a small aggregate effect in which a vibrational shift of order λ/N at each site survives the strong excitonic coupling limit. The effect is due to coupling of the emitting exciton with the symmetric phonon [P. O. J. Schrer and S. F. Fischer, Chem. Phys. 86, 269 (1984)]. The condition N⋙|λ| is assumed in all of our results related to the strong exciton coupling regime.
