2O (0.25 g, 1 mmol) and water (10 ml) were taken in a 25 ml Teflon reactor and then heated at 140° for 3 days; deep blue coloured crystals of 1 were obtained. Elemental analysis Calc. (%): C, 32.58; H, 6.02; N, 8.44. Found: C, 32.61; H, 5.89; N, 8.41.

-1. It indicates that the dehydration process of complex 1 is completed at ca. 100 °C (weight loss: Calc. 13.60%, Found. 13.68% for 5 un-coordinated lattice water molecules), the dehydrated complex was found stable in the solid state up to ca. 220 °C.
