1H-NMR spectra, the signal of proton 10b was observed in the lower field and different from those of other protons. In addition, the coupling constant J (10b, 4b) in the eis isomer is larger than than that in trans isomer. Therefore, the ratio of two isomers was determined conveniently by comparing the integration of proton 1Ob of the two isomers. It was found that the eis isomer is the slightly more favored product in most cases of the reactions of substituted anilines with 3, 4-dihydro-2H-pyran.
