A mixture of 1-octene and n-nonanal was treated with an aqueous latex suspension under hydroformylation conditions, and the distribution between the phases was determined by GC analysis (external standard: dodecane). Furthermore, the stability of the microsuspension was tested at different temperatures and stirring rates. Optimal conditions without any significant coagulation were found at 80°C and 600 rpm.
