The values of the leading beta function coefficient b0(ETC) [as defined in Eq. 10] for the ETC gauge coupling depend on SM-singlet, as well as SM-nonsinglet, ETC-nonsinglet fermions. For the recent SU(5)ETC models, the ETC-nonsinglet, SM-singlet sectors consisted of the following fermion representations with respect to the group SU(5)ETC×SU(2)HC: (a) (10,1)L and (10̄,2)L in Ref. (b) (10̄,1)L and (10̄,2)L in Refs. and (c) the ETC-nonsinglet, G422-singlet fermions (5,1)L, (10,1)L, and (10̄,2)L in Refs.. The resulting values of the leading coefficient b0(ETC) of the beta function for SU(5)ETC are, respectively, (a) 31/3, (b) 31/3, and (c) 29/3.
