    • During the preparation of this manuscript nanostructuring of TPA molecules has been reported by S. Clair, S. Pons. H. Brune. K. Kern. J. V. Barth, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2005, 44, 7294. The link between organic molecules of TPA and iron atoms is reported to be irreversible upon annealing. The authors suggest a strong bonding with the iron by breaking the OH group, which is not the case for PTCDA.
