This is a well controlled study and is a very important contribution to the scientific literature in this area.

42. Pritchard C, King E. Differential suicide rates in typologies of child sex offenders in a 6-year consecutive cohort of male suicides. Arch Suicide Res 2005; 9:35-43. The risk of suicide in sexual offenders, and particularly paedophiles, is poorly understood and poorly researched, and therefore the study highlights the significant risks in this population.
43. Seto MC. Is more better? Combining actuarial risk scales to predict recidivism among adult sex offenders. Psychol Assess 2005; 17:156-167. Actuarial risk assessment has been misused; so, studies such as this one are important to point out weaknesses and deficiencies in these actuarial scales to insure that they are not misrepresented in court.
