Forensic Sci Int 2006 [Epub ahead of print]. In a former study that introduced a Portuguese version of PCL-R in the Brazilian penitentiary system, a forensic population classified as psychopaths and nonpsychopaths was correlated to global personality disorder (GPD) and to partial personality disorder (PPD) subtypes of antisocial personality disorder. The cluster analysis confirmed these two independent types of antisocial personality disorders, not identifiedin the PCL-R in its standardized form, one of them being strongly associated with criminal conduct (PPD) and the other with psychopathic personality (GPD).
