    • The high mobility of the pyridine molecule on the Cu(110) surface made STM imaging at 80 K impossible since the tip was observed to readily drag the molecules. The 5 K temperature at which all STM/STS measurements were made in this work was thus essential for stability.

    • In parts c and d of Figure 4, a number of larger protrusions are visible in addition to the two species visible in parts a and b. These are closely spaced high molecular features and will be discussed in detail in a future publication.
