    • It should be noted that the BJH method is based on macroscopic thermodynamic models, and BJH-derived pore sizes, though often quoted in the literature, should be regarded as "apparent" rather than definitive. The use of this methodology as an approximation can be defended since a number of studies show that pore sizes calculated using the BJH method tend to fall in the right range, see:
