Perinatal outcome of singletons and twins after assisted conception: A systematic review of controlled studies
-
Helmerhorst FM, Perquin DA, Donker D, Keirse MJ. Perinatal outcome of singletons and twins after assisted conception: a systematic review of controlled studies. BMJ 2004; 328:261-265. A systemic review of 17 studies in singletons and 17 studies in twins, concluding that singletons conceived from assisted reproduction have a worse perinatal outcome than their spontaneous counterparts, but that this observation is not seen in twin pregnancies.

Neonatal outcome in a Danish national cohort of 8602 children born after in vitro fertilization or intracytoplasmic sperm injection: The role of twin pregnancy
-
Pinborg A, Loft A, Nyboe Andersen A. Neonatal outcome in a Danish national cohort of 8602 children born after in vitro fertilization or intracytoplasmic sperm injection: the role of twin pregnancy. Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand 2004; 83:1071-1078. A study comprising the largest cohort of twins to date that investigated neonatal outcome in pregnancies arising from ART. It also provides important information on the subgroup of dizygotic twins as a separate entity.
