    • Epidermal growth factor receptor acts as a negative regulator for bacterium nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae-induced Toll-like receptor 2 expression via an Src-dependent p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway
    • Mikami F, Gu H, Jono H, et al. Epidermal growth factor receptor acts as a negative regulator for bacterium nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae-induced Toll-like receptor 2 expression via an Src-dependent p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway. J Biol Chem 2005; 280:36185-36194. Epidermal growth factor receptor is a negative regulator of TLR2 induction during bacterial infection. Epidermal growth factor increases invasion of H. influenzae of epithelial cells, providing biological significance of this TLR2 regulation.
