    • To illustrate this, one can add an artificial surface parameter to one of the slip models and set, say, a first-order ODE for it along the liquid-gas and liquid-solid interfaces together with an algebraic boundary condition at the contact line. Then, in the near-field asymptotics there will be two extra unknown coefficients in the expansions for this parameter and only one extra condition for them resulting from the algebraic condition at the contact line. Hence, the number of free coefficients in the local asymptotics will increase by one, that is by the order of the ODE for the surface parameter.
