    • 4. The solvents were evaporated, and the residue was purified by PTLC silica gel using a mixture of ether-hexane as eluent to give the pure amino alcohol. The absolute configuration of the products was assigned by comparison with the reported optical rotation values and for the unknown compounds by analogy.
