note
-
Note that the use of a ground-state argument implies that the theory can only be sensibly applied to describe experimental results for which the chirality amplification is independent of the overall concentration of selfassembling material. A description of a concentration-dependent "diluted majority-rules effect" requires that we take into account chains of any length. The method by which our treatment may be extended to encompass these chains is well-known and involves retaining both eigenvalues of the transfer matrix. See, e.g., ref 19 for a detailed discussion.
