    • This work was completed as part of M Beveridge's MSc research at the University of Western Australia under the supervision of L. W. Simmons. Her main interests include the molecular ecology of Australian native bees and the use of molecular techniques to address evolutionary and ecological questions. L. W. Simmons is a professor at the University of Western Australia and an ARC Federation Fellow. His primary interests are in behavioural ecology and evolutionary biology including sperm competition and the evolution of polyandry.
