23. Typical procedure: To a stirred solution of boronic acid (0.5 g) in 10 mL of ethylacetate was added glyoxylic acid monohydrate (1 equiv). The reaction was then continued at room temperature during 24 h and the white precipitate was isolated by filtration as dioxaborolanones.
