    • The melting temperature of plain 12-mer ODN with the same sequence was 52.3 °C. Although both 12-mer ODNs, the conjugate photodimer and the native 12-mer, had the same sequence, the long connector including the anthracene dimer seems not to be favorable for hybridization, probably due to steric hindrance.
