    • Under the same condition, the addition of nitroethane to 2c with Q-1d afforded the 1,2-adducts in 4/1 dr and in 75% ee/88% ee, respectively; acetophenone was found to be inactive for the 1-catalyzed nitroaldol reaction with nitromethane.
