    • 4. This illustrates the generality of the definition of the poisoning ratio which depends neither on the coordination number of the metal center nor on the number of donor atoms in the ligand. One of the biggest titanium POAs which was structurally characterized is compound 13 of Table 2. All 16 titanium atoms are 6-fold coordinated; there are 16 monodentate poisoning ligands. The poisoning ratio is then (16)/(16 × 6) = 1/6. It is worth noting that this compound has the same condensation ratio (k) as the dimeric compound 2, which corresponds to a poisoning ratio of 2/3. The correlation between p and N is expected to be much better than that between k and N.
