    • Private communication: XANES experiments have been performed at the titanium K-edge on hydrolyzed titanium butoxide under acidic conditions and at low hydrolytic ratios H=I and 2. The XANES prc-pcak exhibits a low intensity triplet centered at about 4968 eV, which is characteristic of a titanium atom in an octahedral oxygen ligand field
