The unit cell is composed of three crystallographically independent molecules exhibiting similar conformations. The amidate and pyridine nitrogens are in a sterically more prohibitive chelating role and adopt a chair-like conformation. This configuration allows both the selenium atoms of the ligand to coordinate with palladium providing a distorted square planar arrangement around palladium.
