    • The phase boundaries between the dissolved polymer, micellar liquid, and micellar crystal are shifted downward by several degrees for the d -F68 solutions as compared with the fully hydrogenated F68 solutions. We attribute this shift in phase behavior to differences in the temperature-dependent miscibility of the deuterated and hydrogenated PEO blocks in D2 O, an effect commonly observed in isotopically labeled polymer solutions [J. S. Higgins and H. C. Benòt, Polymers and Neutron Scattering (Clarendon, Oxford, 1994)]. Given the weak temperature dependence of I (Q,t) I (Q,0), we do not believe this shift significantly affects the comparison between d -F68 and F68.

This paper presents a calculation of the form factor of a pluronic micelle using a cap-and-gown model for the polymer concentration. The cap-and-gown model assumes a radial profile for the polymer concentration in which the concentration is a constant within the core and decays as a power law in the corona.
