    • In the original presentation of both algorithms Hadamard transforms are used instead of Fourier transforms. However, in both cases these transformations can be interchanged with no alterations. Moreover, they can be implemented with a lens which performs a 2D Fourier transform. In the case of general algorithms (or maps) one can use lenses to implement the unidimensional Fourier transform provided one uses a spatial encoding of states which is translation invariant along one axis.
