CHREAY. 0009-2665
-
The BE and bond length of Nb2, obtained by RECP (AESRC), are 3.38 (4.88) eV and 2.18 (2.15) Ã, respectively. The BE of AESRC agrees well with the experimental value of 4.86±0.02eV [M. D. Morse, Chem. Rev. (Washington, D.C.) CHREAY 0009-2665 86, 1049 (1986)], but that of RECP underestimates it. However, as we shall show, the structural and energetic features for NbN obtained by the two methods are in satisfactory agreement.
