Chapter 5 in this thesis describes a dipole trap created with an Ar-ion laser at 514nm. 8W power was focused to a waist of 150μm for a trap depth of roughly 30μK. The dipole trap was loaded from an ultracold ensemble of "quench-cooled" atoms.
